Hey ya’ll, Glake here, finally bringing you a long awaited update regarding something I’ve been meaning to formally announce and do a write-up now for quite awhile now. I’m in a position now where a few of things I’ve had in store for 2022 (YOTS) will, although very late – finally be coming to fruition. This year has been very weird, unstructured, and more. This also pretty much explain the lack of a formal 2022 (Year of the Serpent) announcement write-up, similar to the 2021 (YOTP) write-up I did last year for upcoming content, branding change, and what not, so rather than doing one huge write-up announcing everything I’ve been working on including things that may not even come to fruition this year, instead I’ll be doing separate write-ups for things that are a bit closer on my timeline.

Introducing The “G-SYNCH” Podcast

Now officially launching this September, will be my first real attempt at a weekly podcast since 2016!

About

G-SYNCH will start as a gaming focused, recorded audio podcast; with the goal to overtime, evolve into more of a live-format webshow, focusing on other forms of entertainment and media outside of exclusively video games. Structured into a variety of different segments, I really hope to be able to provide topics, discussions, and coverage pertaining to a wide array of areas within the gaming sphere and more. There will be lot’s of rants, but more quiet ones (this black-noise wants to keep you at ease). The overall tone of the show will be much more lax, yet simultaneously a bit more unfiltered than that of the tone you might get on my live-streams these day’s, but rest assured, I really want this to remain as a type of show you can both watch live once it gets to that point, as well as solely listen to in the background if you choose to do so, without worrying about missing out on any crucial element or feel. I feel like this will become a balance I’ll have to maintain going forward, but it’s one that will serve a much higher purpose when it comes to the shows accessibility.

Co-hosts

Co-hosts will eventually become an integral part of the podcast. Where things stand right now, there is not a sole person, or even a set group of people I could see myself running a podcast with, week after week, discussion after discussion; so instead of doing things the traditional route, I’ve decided that a rotating offering of co-hosts will be something I will aim to provide with this show after launch. This means new faces/voices with each episode, and new takes and opinions on topics/discussions when they are had. With that said, the door is now open if you’d like to partake in an episode or two during the upcoming season! Interested individuals, feel free to shoot me an email at GlakeMicoleRiuno@yahoo.com or simply reach out to me on social media! Since main topics and discussions will vary from show to show, it would be best if you could provide a brief bio including some of your interests, especially within the gaming sphere. Providing this information is even more helpful if I do not know you personally.

The Seasonal Format

Much like my personal live-streams going forward as well as YT content, G-SYNCH will follow a more seasonal format, where new episodes will release each week in a specific multi-month window, before going on a short break for brainstorming, maintenance, and integration; with the next season proceeding with new changes, format, etc. This is not only a way for me to avoid burnout, but to also set aside time following every season to make any necessary changes to the show, ultimately in hopes of keeping things fresh with each new season. Since we’re already quickly approaching the end of the year, 2022 (YOTS) will feature only one season which will be dubbed as “Season 0” and will run throughout the duration of the fall season. Season 1 will kick off with the return in January of 2023, which will also coincide with the start of the new content year (Year of the ????), for 2023. Consider ‘Season 0’ to be more of a beta test season than anything else. With mostly audio-only format for shows, and lot’s of refining and figuring things out.

Release Platforms

Until the podcast begins to take a live format, non audio-only new episodes will always be available first over on my YouTube channel, and will drop on Friday evening. Later during the weekend, audio-only uploads for no matter the format of the episode will become available on a few other different platforms which I’ll announce next month. As far as the live-show is concerned, once we reach that point, it will take place on my Twitch channel which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. I want to make sure the audio versions, especially, are as accessible as possible – I will even be broadcasting the recording process of each episode every now and then within the Discord for those who wish to listen in to everything before it’s uploaded and live.

Hopefully by now you have a pretty good idea of what G-SYNC will be like and the direction I’d like to take with this. It’s yet another wild endeavor within my already wild and poorly structured daily schedule (god help me). Feel free to reach out to me with any questions on the podcast if you have them, and most importantly spread the word!  I should be able to provide the date for the first episode very early in September so stay tuned for that!
